Exhibition news: Lirex 2010, Libya

The 1st edition of the biggest exhibition for railway industry in Libya, Lirex 2010, took place from 12 through 14 June at the capital of Libya, Tripoli. The event showcased not only a wide range of latest products and equipments for railways sector but also placed emphasis on security decisions for transport and passenger terminals.

AWAL for Information Technology, our Libyan sales partner, has presented PERCo waist-high turnstiles integrated into complex security systems.

According to AWAL, products presented were a success and generated a great deal of interest not only from the experts but also visitors from various Libyan government bodies - the AWAL’s stand was visited by the Libyan railways authority, the Minister of Economic Affairs, the Minister of Transport and the Russian Railways Manager.
