IFSEC 2007 first summary

IFSEC (Security Solutions & Network Advantage), the leading global security event, closed last week in Birmingham.

Covering every aspect of security, this year IFSEC introduced 8 themed product areas allowing the visitor to get straight to their area of interest: Intruder Alarms Village, IP Networked Solutions, Security Guarding & Support Services, Police & Public Security, Security Solutions, CCTV Village and Physical Security.

New features for 2007 included a dedicated area for Police & Public Security, meaning that for the first time buyers and suppliers could mingle in an area created especially for them.

Directional Data Systems Ltd (www.directionaldata.co.uk), our sales partner in Britain, exhibited a range of PERCo turnstiles, gates and railing systems, including the new aluminium RDT-15.1 full height rotor turnstile.

According to Michael Harris, UK Sales Manager at DDS, PERCo products were met with interest not only from the visitors and prospective buyers, but also competitors. Security professionals who visited the stand gave very positive comments on both design and performance of the exhibited products. A number of order inquiries was received during the show, with two orders sold right on the stand.
